Airport calls for people power to gain new routes

Blackpool Airport is asking for people power to help it attract new routes to the hub, the Gazette reports. Airport communications head Sue Kendrick says if people are eager for the hub to secure new flights to the likes of Edinburgh, London and Barcelona, they should contact airlines and tell them this.
She said: ‘We'd urge travellers from Blackpool, Lancashire and also the Lake District to contact airlines if there are routes that they'd fly on from Blackpool if they were served. If we can prove big enough demand for any route an airline would look to put on that service - that is
