Blackpool airport - Tenerife flights for Jet2

Jet2 announced new flights to Tenerife from Blackpool airport today. The budget airline is adding the Canary Island to the four routes it already flies to from Blackpool's rapidly expanding airport.
The twice weekly flights will start in November, with bosses are hoping to extend the run to a daily service by the start of next year. The new flights will start from £60 one way including taxes on a Boeing 737 based at Blackpool airport.
Philip Meeson, chief executive of Jet2, said: 'We have been hounded by people wanting scheduled flights from Blackpool Airport to Tenerife. We simply had no other alternative but to offer it. We know people in Blackpool and beyond love to holiday in the Canary Islands. It is an incredibly popular part of the world.'
In November last year Jet2 officially launched their original three routes to Belfast International and Murcia and Palma on the Spanish island of Majorca. Since then they have added Alicante and now Tenerife to their destination roster. For more information visit www.jet2.com.
