Blackpool airport closed by snow

Flights to and from Blackpool Airport were diverted to Manchester and Liverpool yesterday, because of the amount of snow on the runway. Passengers due to depart from the airport had to be re-routed through other airports.
Blackpool Airport operations director Steve Wiltshire said: 'Passengers have been very understanding and can see it's a wipe-out and that we have been doing our best to rectify it.'
