At least 70 new jobs for Blackpool airport

At least 70 new jobs are being created at Blackpool airport with the arrival of two new planes and a major high street retailer. Low cost airline Jet2 has announced it will boost the number of jets it has based at Blackpool Airport to 3 by spring next year, while retailer WH Smith has confirmed it is to open a branch at the airport this summer.
The airline expects to create between 60 to 70 jobs with the arrival of more planes to cope with a number of new holiday destinations it will fly out of the airport. WH Smith expects to create 10 new jobs at its landside shop at the airport, which is expecting to deal with more than one million passengers this year.
