Airline cancels Isle of Man - Blackpool flights
20.12.06
British North West Airlines (BNWA) has axed its services from the Isle of Man to Belfast and Blackpool airports. Passengers booked with the airline will be transferred to rival Manx2, who also operate flights on the routes.
A message on the airline's website states: 'Fly BNWA is no longer running scheduled flights to Belfast and the Isle of Man.' After a brief pause, the web page then redirects to the Manx2 website. Manx2 has agreed to transfer passengers booked with BNWA on to its flights and will contact passengers shortly.
Manx2 director, James Filleul, said it had agreed to pick up BNWA forward bookings to make sure that 'particularly at this time of year', no passengers lose out. He added Manx2 had recently increased its flights on the two routes and that it planned to add more flights on the Belfast route in January.
