Irish flights celebration tomorrow
27.03.10
Blackpool Airport is celebrating all things Irish tomorrow (March 28th) - as the very first Aer Lingus aircraft flies into and out of the hub. There will be Irish themed celebrations all through the afternoon as the airport welcomes passengers on the first Aer Lingus flights between Blackpool and Dublin, with Irish dancing, tasters of Guinness and plenty of Irish stew.
The new flights - branded Aer Lingus - are jointly operated under a franchise agreement between Aer Arann and Aer Lingus. It means that flights have become daily, and on an even bigger, seventy two-seater plane; bookings are made via Aer Lingus’ website and passengers can link from Blackpool into the airline’s transatlantic flights including flights to New York and Boston via Dublin Airport.
