New boss for airport owner

Robin Horner has been appointed as the new chief executive of Blackpool Airport owners MAR Properties Ltd. The appointment follows MAR's buyout in 2006 of its joint venture partner, City Hopper Airport, to become sole owner of Blackpool and Wolverhampton Airports.
Mr Horner, one of Northern Ireland's most senior financiers, is the former director of IBI Corporate Finance. He said: 'I'm looking forward to working with MAR as the company is very dynamic and progressive. It has a proven track record of successful investment including the rapid development of Blackpool International Airport.'
